The CCSU-AAUP Part-time Advisory is sponsoring four days of activities for Campus Equity Week 2003 at Central Connecticut State University, New Britain Connecticut. Campus Equity Week 2003 is a true celebration of our exceptionally talented and devoted part-time faculty and recognition of their excellence in teaching. The academic accomplishments of CCSU’s part-time faculty will be exhibited in the CCSU Student Center Lobby throughout Campus Equity Week.

The highlight of Campus Equity Week 2003 is a luncheon to acknowledge the part-time faculty who are members of CCSU’s Teaching In Excellence Honor Roll.

Despite poor working conditions, non-existent health benefits, poor salaries and lack of job security, CCSU’s 455 part-time faculty continue to provide quality education to the University’s 12,131 undergraduate and graduate students.

Some of the activities planned for Campus Equity Week 2003 include a Part-time Faculty Bake Sale, Trick or Treat Day and viewings of the Short Documentary “Teachers on Wheel’s. Informational materials and CEW buttons will also be distributed.
